Crypto transponder with RF remote control function

TagCoder combines the functionality of a 125 kHz cryptographic two way authentication transponder together with RF remote control functions.

It allows for very cost efficient, the usual microcontroller or rolling code generator chip and oscillator are no longer required.

The transponder functionality remains completely battery less and most importantly the coil is integrated into the TagCoder package for protection against moisture and shock.

A further advantage of integrating the coil inside TagCoder is that it is no longer necessary for the customer to tune the resonance frequency of the coil to the nominal 125Khz operating frequency as is generally the case with external coil systems.

This tuning process is done by SOKYMAT AUTOMOTIVE production and results in improved performance, lower cost and increased quality.

Transponder functionality as well as the two way authentication is based on the already widely adopted technology of the SOKYMAT AUTOMOTIVE TagCoder-Lite transponder.

TagCoder is available in the patented BGA brick package that was developed to provide the smallest footprint as well as allowing flexible placement in the key head for optimum coupling factor between the transponder and reader antenna.
